Many believe that gay marriage represents an equal right. I respectfully submit this is not true, and that it represents a special right above and beyond our existing sane law. Traditional marriages and families have been the foundation of all of the great, thriving and happy civilizations on Earth.
Every person already has the same equal right to enter into a marriage, according to the definition of the word. Society is not under an obligation to convert our sane law into one that is insane. We are not going to feel guilty and change the rules to please people who want to marry members of the same sex, their dog, a corpse, or a refrigerator that resembles a plus-size person. All of these desires are equally absurd and they do not meet the definition of a legitimate marriage. This gives an accurate picture, however, of why gay marriage fully meets the classification of an extreme special right.
Many say that heterosexual marriage today does more to harm the institution of marriage than gay marriage. While heterosexual marriage has a lot of problems, these are also attributable to the liberal lifestyle, and allowing gay marriage certainly isn't going to remedy the situation. I have written about some major problems of heterosexual marriage in my articles, "5 Secret Reasons Why Marriages Fail."and "Should Divorce be Made Illegal, Except for Unfaithfulness?"
Allowing weird forms of so-called "marriage" will destroy us, 100 per cent for certain. The acceptance of such practices has led to the downfall of all great empires throughout history. Those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it.
Individuals who believe there is no harm in a man marrying another man meet the clinical definition of the "I" word, with all due respect. Apparently, much of the population has been brainwashed by liberalism and by the homosexual agenda. This might unfortunately be irreparable, unless people decide to undergo electroshock therapy or some other radical form of treatment.
28 states have "just said no" and have stood courageously against in-their-face homosexual marriage. It seems, however, that gay marriage is almost always one of the causes for which liberal Democrats stand.
Consenting adults should be allowed to marry whomever they want, according to the actual definition of the word. I respectfully suggest, however, that we need a constitutional amendment that will affirm marriage is between a man and woman, only. I assure you; this will be worth the effort and will help to preserve our sensible, sane and civilized way of life. It will prevent us from descending to the level of places on Earth that engage in the most bizarre practices imaginable, and wind up cursed.
Is this a case of people such as myself and those who agree with me wanting to lay our values upon others? You bet! Let's be honest - we want to impose our values and affect them into law, just as others want to compel their way of life upon us. One side has to prevail and whoever wins the struggle will determine the law of our land. That's the way it always has been and always will be. It's really a conflict between good and evil, and to this point good has been the dominant force. I'm hoping that it will continue and that people will elect the right leaders who will represent good.

Post a CommentCont'd for the people who deny gays the right to marry or have their lifestyle be taught as acceptable, but aren't religious, those people bring on reparative therapy and the false idea that sexual orientation can be changed or that the gay person is damaged mentally, because they don't think the way some scientist, doctor, psychologist or psychiatrist does, because the exact cause of homosexuality hasn't been found. It doesn't mean it's not innate or biologically determined.
Last but not least, Christians and Conservative get the special right of marriage.
You people are the Special Rights Group not gay people, not polygamists who want plural marriage and should have it, because there is a Mormon population in the United States.
Stop being a hypocrite and stop making Christianity the unofficial National Religion.
There's only one religion that's listened to in American and that's Christianity.
"Apparently, much of the population has been brainwashed by liberalism and by the homosexual agenda."
Apparently, the majority of the people in the United States are still being brainwashed by the Heterosexual Christian Dark Agenda.
You know the people who bully kids into being heterosexual and recruit homosexual kids into heterosexual by teaching religious definitions of marriage that shouldn't be taught in schools at all due to separation of Church and State.
The kid is then bullied by his or her peers to being heterosexual, along with chastising Christian parents that make it clear that homosexuality is not one of their options.
Oh, but if the child has horrible liberal parents don't worry conservatives, because Christians raise their kids to proselytize their peers and make them follow the bible and conservative agenda whether by verbal abuse, physical abuse, and in a lesbian's case rape.
And last but not least, there are people that aren't
The below poster, of course, is presenting the ever-so-popular liberal viewpoint, which has to do with the alleged "okayness" of being "gay." However, the subject here has to do specifically with marriage - what it is and what it isn't.
Being gay isn't evil or bad. There are already evil and craziness in the world before even the gays exist. It's the people who can't adapt to new things and telling them you can't be what you want to be that are insane and like that of communism.
"...That makes a lot of sense. Bravo." Thanks - I'm glad you enjoyed my article and finally appear to agree, although at first you believed I was "insane." Regardless, you would certainly defend my rights to freedom of thought, freedom of expression, freedom of speech and freedom of the press, correct?
You are insane. You are actually arguing this on the basis that that marrying your same-sex partner has more in common with marrying a refrigerator than marrying your opposite-sex partner. That makes a lot of sense. Bravo.
Thanks Blondie, and thanks to Jennifer. It's an honor to have made Jennifer's "most ridiculous" list! :)
Good article! :)

A well written Article, Marty. Few people it seems know the difference between opinion and insult. I have also received my fair share of insults just because my article on 'Gay Marriage is no Marriage', does not accept the gay community and gay supporters' view of it being termed a marriage.
