Are Zhu Zhu Pets Unsafe and Dangerous?

Are Zhu Zhu Pets unsafe or better yet dangerous? There are reports circulating the internet that Zhu Zhu Pets are unsafe and could be dangerous. At least one consumer group has come forward to say that Zhu Zhu Pets are unsafe for children. According to an Associated Press story, Good Guide found the Zhu Zhu pets unsafe after finding antimony in the product.

The antimony was found on the hair and nose of Mr. Squiggles. The Zhu Zhu pets were deemed unsafe and scored just a 5.2 out 10 on the Good Guide scale.

Does this mean Zhu Zhu pets are unsafe for your kids? The toy maker insists that Zhu Zhu pets are safe and have passed rigorous testing. I guess this means the jury is still out but as a parent would you want to take a chance on a product if you aren't quite sure what the outcome would be? The Good Guide report certainly puts fear in the heart of parents wanting to buy the hot Christmas presents for their kids.

It's definitely something a parent should know about before buying a Zhu Zhu pet so they can at least have the option. Does the Good Guide report have any legimitacy? The jury is still out as both the maker of the product and Good Guide have varying opinions if the Zhu Zhu Pet is unsafe or not.

Never hear of these things, but the comment about "the toymaker" claiming they are safe cleared up the matter of real versus something else. Enjoyed this. Thanks.

Okay so I keep hearing that Zhu-Zhu pets, the hottest toy in the year 2009, has metal in its fur. It is true or not!? I need to know the answer cause I have one but I don't want to touch it unless it is safe. So safe almost safe not safe at all WHAT IS IT?
