Aries and Taurus in Love

Ideas for Astrology's Ram and Bull Couples

Jennifer T. Moore Fuller
In astrology, the signs of Aries and Taurus can find in each other the love of a lifetime, or the impossibility of romance. Sometimes what makes the difference is simple understanding of how the other sign ticks. Here are ideas for Aries and Taurus couples, to help their love last and their romance thrive.

I am not a professional astrologer who analyzes personalities and energies of the universe, and charts horoscopes. But I have been part of an Aries - Taurus couple for many years and relished my own love of a lifetime. In my experience, the differences in the way an Aries and a Taurus think, talk, act, and love can be the most troublesome - or one of the most rewarding parts of their romance.

Aries & Taurus Thinking
I am an Aries, and like many of this sign, think fast and in spurts. New ideas excite me and often lead to enthusiasm for new plans and goals for the future. My husband, the Taurus, on the other hand, is a slower, but smoother thinker. This can lead to difficulties when we are making mutual decisions, if we don't remember how we process information differently. For example, if an Aries and Taurus couple were planning a vacation together, the Aries likely will be quick to come up with all kinds of possible destinations, itineraries, and activities. For Aries, the mere planning of the possibilities is usually exciting.

In contrast, Taurus will probably want to think through several possible vacation scenarios carefully, and maybe get more information to be thorough. Meanwhile Aries may be coming up with more and more ideas, and find that sticking to just one or two is boring. If each sign doesn't understand the strengths of the other's thinking style, confusion and tension can arise. When working together, however, planning can be an art. Aries can work at initiating possibilities and creative new ideas and Taurus at sticking with what they decide upon and making them happen.

Aries & Taurus Talking
A second big difference I have found between Aries and Taurus concerns when and how they talk. As an Aries, like many of this sign, I tend to share my thoughts with others while thinking aloud. This can be confusing to my Taurus husband who does more of his thinking to himself, and then shares his conclusions.

For instance, if a problem arose between an Aries and Taurus couple concerning the career of the Taurus, he or she would probably tell his mate about it and then think it through quietly to him or herself. If Aries does not understand that Taurus thinks this way, and is still quietly mulling over the situation, she may think that the problem is no longer an issue. On the other hand, a Taurus may not understand why his Aries mate keeps "changing her mind" if he doesn't know she is simply talking her thoughts aloud, not reaching conclusions.

Aries & Taurus Acting
When it comes to taking action, Aries and Taurus may behave very differently. Aries sign people are often initiators and like nothing better than quickly getting a new project or activity underway. Taurus, in contrast, may prefer to avoid jumping quickly, thinking about and checking things out more beforehand. Though gung-ho at the start of endeavors, an Aries may have trouble persisting in carrying out activities to completion. Aries often would rather set up and get some other new thing underway. A Taurus often excels at steadily working at things and completely finishing them. By remembering these differences, the Aries - Taurus couple can utilize the natural skills of both to reach most any goal they want - together.

Aries & Taurus Loving
In regards to love, both Aries and Taurus are happy in a sensual, romantic relationship. An Aries will probably thrive on the excitement of new activities and experiences within the love relationship, no matter how small they are. Taurus, in love, probably will happily relish signs of reliability and earthiness in his or her mate. The Aries and Taurus couple, by remembering their differences as well as their similarities, has a head start on building that once in a blue moon love of a lifetime.

I am a Taurus woman and ive been dating my Aries boyfriend for 4yrs. We have gotten into some crazy arguments but overall ill never be bored. If Taurus women can just learn to stop charging after the first red signal they see and "patiently" try to understand the Ram it can be a very exciting and earth moving love.

P.S. Taurus women, He may try to pull some slick lines in an argument but take ur time n if u really feel right you probubly are! :D

I am an Aries and have dated Taurean men-no they are not easygoing and quiet. They are quite argumentative and I find that annoying especially when it is for no reason. My last Taurus boyfriend told me that he liked picking fights with me because it turned him on when I got upset and I think that is just sick. Never again!
