The Arizona Association for Economic Development (AAED), in partnership with the Arizona Commerce Authority and ACA Rural Business Advisory Council, will host the Governor's Statewide Development Conference, "A Statewide Approach'"Let's Do This Together!" It will be held Oct. 26-28, 2011 in Oro Valley.
Now in its 37th year, the conference attracts city and county staff, business and chamber of commerce executives, community and economic developers, tribal leaders and elected and appointed leaders from across Arizona.
The conference will address rural, urban and tribal community development topics and will include sessions on working together to create statewide prosperity.
Early registration fees are $275 and available through Sept. 15 at www.azgsdc.com. Registration fees increase to $325 from Sept. 15-Oct. 15; to $375 from Oct. 15-25 and are $430 on-site.

AAED was originally founded in 1974 as the Arizona Association for Industrial Development (AAID). The organization, which was dedicated to expanding the industrial and economic base of Arizona, changed to its current name in 1991 to better reflect its broader mission.
