Arizona Looks Impressive Against Toledo

In a 41-2 win over Toledo, the Wildcats defense dominated the football game. The Rockets were 5/14 on third down and were held to 103 yards passing. QB Nick Foles debut showed why is one of the best QB's in the country. Foles finished the game 32/37 for 360 yards and 2 TD's. One of the concerns for the Wildcats passing attack was how effective they would be throwing the ball down the field. Arizona is very efficient hitting the crossing routes and the backs out of the backfield, but the deep ball was missing last season. Foles hit a few throws last night that should let opposing defenses know that they can no longer sit on all the underneath throws. Foles hit TE A.J. Simmons for 31 yards and found WR Juron Criner for 45 yards down the field. The Wildcats play the Citadel on September 11th, but their real test will come when the face the #9 Iowa Hawkeyes on September 18th.
