Arizona - the Perfect State for Golf

The weather in Arizona is so pleasant that it is a great place for the golf addict to spend some time. Whether your game is traditional, target played on a championship resort course or a municipal course you will find all that you need in the great state of Arizona.

No matter what your budget or skill level or even what your choice of scenery is you will find that in Arizona there are varied courses and facilities. In fact Arizona is a premier golf destination with different configurations and layouts across more than 300 different golf courses.

The metropolitan area of Phoenix is home to two thirds of the courses and most of the rest are in and around Tucson.

Other noted Arizonian golf courses include the Palo Duro Creek Golf Course which is in Nogales, about an hour to the south of Tucson, the Yuma Golf and Country Club, the Aspen Valley Country Club, in Flagstaff and the StoneRidge Golf Course which can be found in the Prescott Valley.

For those who are keen followers of top golfing events then come to Arizona in January/early February for the PGA Tour's FBR Open. This event us held at the TPC course at Scottsdale and is the world's best attended golf tournament.
