Exit Kurt Warner - Enter Matt Leinart, and at this time a new captain takes over the helm of his vessel, the question now at hand, can he direct his Cardinal team to a winning season in 2010? There has been a lot of talk around the NFL about Matt Leinart mechanics as becoming a top notch quarterback in the NFL, and now he has the chance to prove his bench warming days were not in vain.

There have been glimpses of Matt Leinart's greatness, and then there have been times that he needed more time to groom into a seasoned and reliable quarterback that the Cardinals can depend upon. Without any reservation - the time is at hand for Leinart to prove that he was well worth the wait and the money that has been invested in his maturation process.

There could not have been a better mentor than what Kurt Warner had been for Leinart, but sometimes mentoring is not enough concerning how well a player performs on the field. Matt Leinart will not have much time to prove he is the new savior of the Arizona Cardinals, especially since the organization is hungry for a Super Bowl championship.

The Arizona Cardinals do not have a very demanding 2010 schedule, but they do face the Minnesota Vikings and the Dallas Cowboys who could change the outcome of their 2010 hope in playing in the divisional playoffs.

The 2010 season for the Arizona Cardinals will depend if Matt Leinart does not turn into "Dr Doom" - or will he be a "Silver Surfer" winner that will possibly lead his team to the Promised Land in 2011?
