Arizona from the Sky

Arizona from the sky

Indian Paint Wheels overlapping

jig saw puzzle standing out

creating new maps in my mind

Phoenix in December
a Blues' Christmas

mourning the loss of sisterhood

We didn't have enough ink
left in our finger tips to connect
this dot to dot

Leaving Arizona on a bus
a gentleman's hands
generating warmth

How many poems pave
the way to forgiveness ?

Leaving Arizona on a bus,
trading one destiny for another

All other terminals were without
boarding passes

Leaving Arizona on a bus,

Still contemplating

Arizona from the sky

Indian paint wheels overlapping
jig saw puzzle standing out
creating new maps in my mind
