Folk singer and musician, Arlo Guthrie will be performing at the Avalon Theater in the Two Rivers Convention Center on Tuesday, April 19, 2011.

Arlo Guthrie is son of folk legend, Woody Guthrie and he will performing his hits for one show only. Arlo Guthrie's biggest hit was in 1967 with "Alice's Restaurant". Guthrie has been performing since he was 13 years old and he's performed many times with fellow folk legend, Pete Seeger. Another big hit of Guthrie's is "City of New Orleans".

Guthrie is currently strumming his guitar and playing the harmonica while on tour across the country. His tour, "Journey On Tour", will end this May.

Joining Guthrie on tour is his son, Abe Guthrie and the Burns Sisters.

The show starts at 7:30 pm at the Avalon Theater and tickets are $25, $30, and $35. You can purchase tickets at any Grand Junction City Market stores, Back Porch Music, or online at www.ticketswest.com. For more information, please call 970 243-8497.
