This series deals specifically with money grubbing, cosmetic surgery, obsessed, shallow women who pretend their lives have some kind of innate meaning while sucking the life and money out of everything and person that somes close to them. It reminds me of Isaiah 57:17 I was enraged by his sinful greed; I punished him, and hid my face in anger, yet he kept on in his willful ways. What a great series of shows it truly demonstrates that stupidity and greed have become an inseparable part or our culture.
Along the same lines is another disgusting venue aptly called I Love Money I and II, with such memorable cast members from the first season (and it went to a second, shudder), as "Real", "Chance", " Heat" and " Pumpkin". There parents cleary saw from an early age that a single name was all they would ever be ever to recall in any detail and based on there behavior and complete lack of anything resembling character. And after this a second even more inane season with contest designed to allow the truly shallow to display as much skin and tattoos as possible during a single episode. This series brings to mind another verse Ezekiel 33:31 My people come to you, as they usually do, and sit before you to listen to your words, but they do not put them into practice. With their mouths they express devotion, but their hearts are greedy for unjust gain.
And then we have the Rock of Love Bus, featuring a 40 something faded rock start who still wears eye makeup. This show is truly ghastly, between the truly idiotic contest the producers come up with and the horrible fights and vomit fests that are the staple of the show it appears that the only question is which of the women can become skanky enough or cruel enough to fool Bill, Bob, Bryan oh I am sorry Bret into believing they have some kind of feelings for him (nausea, abdominal pain, and frequent urination don't count). Bret should read (if he can)Job 31:1 "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a girl." Truly though some may not be girls, have you seen some of them?
The Survivor Series, the true beginning of the end for our culture, with every predictable disgusting trumped up and truly ridiculous and predictable confrontation possible. How many time can you do the same thing? The entire premise is based on a group of people dropped into some bizarre location who have to perform monumentally stupid competition's with each other time and time again, and the outcome is totally based on who the producers feel will pull the highest ratings. The producers have clearly read the Bible in great detail referring to Job 18:3 "Why are we regarded as cattle and considered stupid in your sight"? The answer is because people actually watch this show.
What is truly grievous is that I am a devout agnostic yet 60% of Americans still believe in the totally stupid and inane stories in the Bible which is why i reference them. This further demonstrates that Darwin (grasp from the religious crowd) was right. Our species is destined to fail and we are already far down that path. Our TV shows reflect our culture, we are far more concerned with who will be accused and convicted on Nancy Grace without the benefit of a trial, or which Chef will be demeaned by some physco for failing to deliver a certain sauce in a timely fashion (clearly they haven't been to a Friday's lately) than the genocide in Darfur a true tragedy or the piracy (and its real root cause) off the coast of Africa.
The end has arrived, MSNCB will be doing a series on it soon and FOX will call it bad journalism. How special!
