Armageddon, or Just the End?

Some Comments on the Coming Doomsday, with Insights into Israel/Palestine

Lately we find increasing concern with devastation, with final days. People have reported reoccurring dreams in which a neighborhood or a town is quiet, but then rocked, melted, and destroyed forever in the wink of an eye; not dissimilar from the devastation in the popular Schwarzenegger Movies. They question whether these dreams are a message from the Creator, a message of Armageddon. What truly is the source of their unrest?

The dreams may be based on actual fact more than on religious speculation. Many feel that unless checked, the end is coming, whether the predicted Armageddon or merely the catastrophic end of the world; and it will be that, God or no God.
Global shift has apparently started with unprecedented earthquakes, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, and more. These disturbances, if shift related, will climax in 2012. Asteroids are coming in 2029, and again in 2036.

Most important, if some changes aren't made, the situation in Israel/Palestine is going to grow to world threatening proportions. Iran is going to continue developing nuclear weapons. Who is to say they don't have warheads already buried in Saudi Arabia? Saudi Arabia is the true home of bin Laden, and Al Queda, and Al Queda has declared that there is nothing more important than the division in the Gaza Strip region. North Korea has traditionally been supported by Russia; and Russia has of late been rumbling.

In addition to nuclear weaponry, out terrorist enemies have undetectable explosives so small as to fit we know, anywhere. The people of Iraq and Iran are not in sympathy, but in times of stress, these Islamic nations have in the past banded together. To make matters worse, the British Government is overbearing and antagonistic. Instead of diplomacy, they show a "chip on their shoulder".

Religion may do more harm than good in this world. It becomes distorted. It becomes an "I am better than you, and I can punish you" thing.
Consider from years back the killing in Ireland.
In Mogadishu, Africa, teen-aged Islamic extremists took over an entire town, demanding that everyone pray five times daily, or lose their heads. The government was able to overcome them.
Maybe any belief in the un-seen is counter-productive. Maybe God, whatever he may be, aware, or unaware, wants us to respect life, be good people, and forget about him -- no prayer, asking or thanking; just to go about our business as if reality is what it appears to be. In fact we can't grasp true reality anymore than a cow, a pig, a dog, a bird can. It is something of which we cannot conceive.

These problems must be addressed by wise and unobstructed thinkers. If these thinkers are forced to wallow in the mud of politics and corruption, the dreams of crisis may come true.
