Aroma the Tension Away

My favorite unwinding technique is taking an aroma therapy bath. After a long day, this is the one thing that rejuvenates me.

My first step to having a peaceful, relaxing bath is to kick everyone out the house for a couple of hours. Next I find my aroma therapy bubble bath. But before that, I need to set the mood, so I place candles around my bedroom and in the bathroom along the tubs edge.

While the tub is filling with warm steamy water, I locate my favorite CD and turn it on, letting the music surround the bathroom as the steam covers the mirrors. Once the desired water level has been reached, I pour in my bubble bath and let the fragrance float through the air. Inhaling , I can already start to feel some of the days tension begin to ebb away.

This mood isn't complete without retrieving my favorite book from my nightstand. I'm all set, let the healing begin.
For the first half hour or so, I let the warm water caress the tension from my body. The remainder of the time, I listen to music and enjoy my novel.

Once the water turns cool and the candles have nearly melted into themselves, I get out feeling tension free.
After applying aroma therapy oil over my body and getting dress, I'm ready for the rest of the evening. Tomorrow, well if necessary, I'll repeat my aroma bath therapy all over again.
