Arrogant Arrogance

(confusions and Doubts of Chaotic Thought)

Arrogant Arrogance
(confusions and doubts of chaotic thought)

they told him to reason
was not his.
they told him he could,
would, never reason.
they told him reason
is folly, only acceptance
gives peace.
they told him these things -
he tells them to himself;
an endless, muttered,
disbelieved mantra repeated
for thirty years and more.

repeats;
but never believes.
wishing for blind acceptance's peace,
needing always the answers,
needing always the reasons,
and bones is confused.

how is it
that a man who has only chaos
within, is sought to define
order?
how is it, with a mind perforated
with doubt, a man can be asked
to provide surety for others?
why do those who do not
understand
turn to him
to understand
what he will never
understand
within himself?
how is it
they seek council
on matters from one
who can never have the one
matter they would know of?
why do the young, the aged,
defer to thought from one
who has learned to lock thought
in the box with no key?

why? why do they turn
to this man seeking these,
seeking other, things?

seeking from one such
as he who can never know,
never accept, only reasoning
what can never be reasoned?
needing always
the answers, needing always
the reasons.
how is it
answers
are sought from one
with such Arrogant
Arrogance?

in the end all that is
is reasoning what cannot
be reasoned.
all that there is
is their expectant looks, words.
and all that he wants
is to tell them he has

no answers.
