J. Paul Getty Museum
The Getty Museum strives to seek further knowledge of visual arts, by collecting, preserving, showing and interpreting high quality works of art.

Japanese American National Museum
Incorporated in 1985, the Japanese American National Museum is the largest museum in the United States that focuses on Japanese American ancestry.
Current exhibits include a traveling exhibit that is organized by the Asian Society, 'One Way or Another: Asian American Art Now,' and 'Common Ground: the Heart of Community,' is an ongoing exhibit that has 130 years of Japanese American history.
The museum has over 60,000 photographs, artifacts and documents in its permanent collection. Among this collection of art are the collections of Clara Breed, Hisko HibI, Estelle Ishigo and Walter Muramoto.
The museum also has an 80,000 square foot pavilion and in 1999, the Watose Media Arts Center was opened. The Media Arts center is capable of top of the line digital production from development to post-production.

Geffen Contemporary at MOCA
Formally, a police car warehouse, the Geffen Contemporary opened in 1983. Current exhibits include the 'Lawrence Weiner: As far As the Eye Can See,' 'Allen Kaprow: Art as Life' and 'Inside Architecture.'
The museums permanent collection includes paintings, paper works, sculptures and photographs. Works reflect pop art, post minimalism, post modernism, appropriation, abstract expressions and more.
Museum also offers art programs and education for kids, students and adults. Courses on contemporary art are available as well as lectures, gallery talks and reading rooms. Do not forget to check out the MOCA store.

Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
The natural history Museum opened its doors to the public in 1913 and today guards over 35 million intriguing, different specimens and artifacts.
Special exhibits include "On the Move..... A photographic survey of the Natural History Museum's 1913 building" and "Joshua White Biography".
Permanent exhibits include 'The Ancient Latin American Hall'. Here artifacts such as ceramic vessels and figurines from Mexico, South and Central America are displayed. The "Zuni Fetishes" exhibit includes 99 carvings that reflect the Native Americans of the South-West, artistic skills. The "Lando Hall of California History" houses both artifacts and records of history for 12 different themes.
Other exhibits at the museum include animated birds, African and North American animals in their natural environment, sea life in California waters, minerals and gems and many more exhibits that are wonderful.
Along with its art and various other exhibit's the museum has educational programs for both the teacher and student.
