With one son who is interested in Monet, another son who loves Andy Warhol and myself a Rembrant fan, we all can find areas we are interested in with little search what so ever. And the descriptions and information is easy enough for my youngest son to use, but complex enough to prove a challenge for my oldest.
Want to be caught up on the latest news in the art world? Check on the home page and on the far left you will see a link...(it changes from day to day so it didn't work to link here!) We have found some extremely interesting information on these pages in relation to the newest of art exhibits, artists and galleries around the world. To have this art news at the mere click of a button is fantastic and will appeal to the art aficionado and the casual art lover as well.
I have several friends and colleagues who have this site bookmarked in their classrooms for students to peruse during free time and the information that students glean from even casual use is phenomenal and something that is heard oftentimes repeated in the hallways. If there isn't anything else that convinces a person of a websites appeal, consider the fact that most of these students are elementary aged children and are enthralled with the information learned from this site.
And if you simply want to view some of the best art works on the web
Then this is the place to go to see them in all their glory with little or no hassle what so ever. http://www.artcyclopedia.com/masterscans/index.html It should be noted that these art works are updated daily for your enjoyment and convenience so this is definitely a site that takes it's art seriously.
This is actually a nice site for research, information or casual viewing for all ages. And though it does have a lot of information available, it is arranged nicely and is easily navigated by users of all ages and developmental levels.
I'd advise anyone needing Art information to check this site first, it holds a great deal of information for those who seek it! Check out artcyclopedia http://www.artcyclopedia.com/index.html
