Artichokes are actually a giant Thistle;
Rarely planted in a flower garden.
Think 'thistles on steroids' as a flower;
Isolating just one plant in the garden
Creates "pit bull" behavior in butterflies.
Hairy purple flower sits atop the edible bud;
Offering irresistable nectar to butterflies.
Kaktos is its Greek name;
Everlasting perennial in Zones 7 and above.
Please excuse the line spacing as there's a glitch in the system and it's being worked on. Yikes!
