Article Marketing Tip - Ezine Not the Best!

Zac Linzmeier
Many people promote their products or websites on the Internet with article marketing. This is a proven strategy and a great way to get both backlinks and traffic. However, recently EzineArticles has been on a downward slope. Although EzineArticles was previously able to rank any article at the top of Google, even without backlinks to it, this is no longer the case. The traffic benefits associated with article marketing on EzineArticles are declining. Fortunately there are a couple of other options for article marketing that have sprung up.

The first option is to reap the benefits yourself. Google loves websites that offer unique content, especially when the content is fresh or added on a regular basis. Because of this you can simply add the articles which you were going to use for marketing on EzineArticles to your own website and easily rank better in Google. This also provides you the benefits of being able to insert links throughout the article's body, whereas Ezine only allows for links in the resource box at the end of the article. Although you are not getting a backlink from Ezine for publishing your article there if your overall goal is marketing and not SEO keeping your articles on your own website can actually help you to make more sales.

Another option is to use Buzzle. Buzzle is a fairly new article directory, very similar to EzineArticles but with one distinct advantage. Buzzle is great for article marketing because it ranks very well with MSN. Now MSN may get a lot fewer searches than Google but ranking well with them is good for a couple of reasons. The first is that it is much more difficult to rank well with Google due to competition. The second reason that using Buzzle to rank well with MSN is better than using EzineArticles to rank fair with Google is that, when marketing a product, MSN has more potential buyers. This is because MSN is the default search of Internet Explorer users, which is the default search engine for Windows users. People who search with MSN tend to be less tech savvy than those who search with Google. This means that they are more prone to buying good such as ebooks where Google searchers are more prone to being able to find the material for free on torrents. Using Buzzle is a great article marketing technique; it can bring you in more visitors per article and give you a higher conversion percentage as well.
