Article Writing: How to Achieve More Page Views

rosa florence
It is almost two o'clock in the morning and I am sitting at my computer looking at the monitor. I started to wondering why my articles weren't getting enough views, forget the views! why wasn't I getting top pay for my articles? It was good stuff, right?

Wrong. I was writing horribly but could not see it for myself. I thought I was doing everything right. I figured out that I had just begun my true experience with writing articles. I was now on a long journey to correct the problems that I had been making in the past. I don't care what I have to do but I am going to fix them so that I will get top pay and stop wasting my time.

I don't care what anyone says, but everyone hates criticism. You do indeed learn from your mistakes but if someone criticizes your work then all that means is that you have to do more work in order to correct the areas that did not appeal to them. Like I said it's just more work.

My biggest critic is my husband, who makes me furious sometimes by the way he tries to tell me everything that I am doing wrong. I have learned to get over this though. Sometimes having someone to criticize your work is all that you need to get you motivated. Believe me, I am on a mission to make this work.

I started with my titles.I kept asking myself, what was truly wrong with them anyways? So, I thought that I would experiment a little. What I did, was try to search for them over the Internet. I did find them. Yes sir, I sure did, right at the very last page of the searches, and I don't mean search page either, it was literally one of the last searches of page 50. I then began to realize that a title has a lot to say about your story and as far as the Internet goes, if you can make a title more search-able, then you will have it pulled up more often by searches such as google.

I thought about titles that I could use to make my articles more search-able. I guess that it would have to be pretty much, right to the point.

Continuing on my mission I also found that my abstract was all wrong. I was taking the first two sentences from my articles body and pasting them there. I then realized that an abstract should be like a comedian's opening line. It should say as much as possible about your article in as few of words as possible. It should draw the reader's attention right to your very first page.

I decided that the abstract would be short, informative, and very catchy. I would write it in a way that all viewers of searches would be drawn to it.

My articles body wasn't all that great either. In order to keep a reader interested in what you have to say, you should make certain to not put them straight into a trance to boredom. I use to always start my articles with a definition or description of the subject that I was wanting to put right in their faces. It's no wonder that I wasn't getting many reviews. My body should have been something that would keep them interested in every little word from the get go. I should have been paying attention instead of trying to give them a nice long nap.

I still kept my definition and the description but it was not on the opening line. I turned it into something more amusing.

Here is another area that I had mistaken for being perfect. My articles closing was completely irrelevant to what I was really trying to say. The closing should sum everything up, kind of the way that the abstract did only with more detail. It should make the article stick in their heads. It should tell the reader that this is the reason that they loved your article.

The opening and the closing have always seemed to be the hardest for me to put on paper. I thought about this for the longest time and then realized that it's not really all that hard it's just I keep getting a serious case of writers block. Okay, maybe it really is that hard. But, if I can do it then I know , that you can do it. Try taking a deep breath or working on something else to take your mind off of it for a little while. When you take a breather it gives you time to relax and won't make you so frustrated.

The more you write, the better you will get. At least, I think so. I for one can honestly say that my writing has come a long way. I am starting to get better offers on what I write and I am kind of getting a big head about it. Yes, I am proud and you should be too. If you wrote an article that didn't pay much, then don't give up, stick to it. Once you start writing more you will in doubt of my mind, become a better writer.

All it takes is a topic, a little patience and a big heart.

You still write HORRIBLY. Well when you write that is. Your articles that read intelligent are only because they are copied from others sources (with typos added in). Thanks anyways.
