Imagining how characters from completely different shows would react to each other is an entertaining pastime of many sci-fi geeks. Many times, the interaction between these worlds require some sort of time travel, which some sci-fi geeks will warn is impossible. Fortunately, the "impossible" fits nicely in the realm of sci-fi, and makes all interactions "possible."
"Battlestar Galactica" and any "Stargate" variation
"Battlestar Galactica" takes place in the past, and "Stargate" takes place in the present. Once the logistics are worked out, however, it would be fascinating to see how humans from the present, using alien technology from the past, would react to meeting their highly advanced ancestors. It would also be fascinating to see how the Cylons would react to learning the truth of what will happen far in the future.
"Star Trek" and "CSI: Miami"
This may seem like a strange pairing, but they both have something in common. They are both wonderful because of their hilarious cheesiness. The Enterprise could travel back in time, and crash land in Miami. Horatio and his team would get the call, and drive out to investigate.
Captain Kirk (William Shatner) would stumble out of the ship first, and walk up to "their leader," Horatio (David Caruso). With his pretentious pseudo-Shakespearean manner of speaking, Kirk would say, "We come in peace." Horatio would reply, in his best David Caruso voice, "You landed on my best man, and I won't rest until I put you in away, forever." Then Horatio would put on his sunglasses, and motion for Frank (Rex Linn) to arrest the entire crew.
"Firefly" and "Castle"
The "Firefly" crew could have an accident that hurls them back in time. They decide to visit Earth, since it's the only place with humans (terraforming has not yet taken place). After landing, they just happen to run into Castle (Nathan Fillion), a man who looks exactly like Mal (Nathan Fillion). Beckett (Stana Katic) thinks they are lying about who they are, but Castle gets overly excited about the situation and offers to let them stay at his place for awhile. Hijinks ensue.
"Doctor Who" and "Greatest American Hero"
The Doctor (Matt Smith) visits America, expecting some cowboy-hat-wearing-fun. Then he spots Ralph Hinkley (William Katt), aka "The Greatest American Hero," clumsily crashing through the air, right into the TARDIS.
"X-Files" and "3rd Rock From the Sun"
Imagine how surprised Scully (Gillian Anderson) would be to find real proof of actual aliens living amongst humans on planet Earth. Now imagine how surprised she would be to find that they are a bunch of morons. Mulder (David Duchovny) would initially be ecstatic, then realize that his long search for the truth was a total joke.

A "DW/GAH" crossover would depend on the Doctor - an example of the 11 Doctors should they experience Ralph crashing into the TARDIS and entering the Console:
1st would fluff his words a bit then wonder what the young man was doing in his TARDIS. Then he'd probably keep calling Ralph "Hankey" or "Hanley" as he tended to call teachers by their last names and always wrong (i.e. Ian Chesterson - "Chetereton")
2nd would probably say "Oh my giddy aunt" shake Ralph's hand with both of his, then comment on the suit and how the greenguys must've updated the suit - concluding with "I Don't like it."
3rd would probably first try Venusian Akido or try to reverse the polarity of the neutron flow of the suit, and after both didn't work , he'd probably enjoy sharing stories about their mischevious youths as they travel.
4th would offer him a jellybaby and say "well, where would you like to go?"
5th would act miffed and stunned at Ralph's appearance, then probably ask if he could use the suit to find a way to get Adric back to E-Space.
6th would be pompous, call Ralph some names and say the suit needs style... like his Technicolor nightmare coat with black and gold stripped trousers, green shoes and orange spats.
7th would be glad to have him aboard, but then try to see how he could use Ralph as a pawn to defeat the Daleks/Cybermen/Master/reveal something about his past.
8th would be commenting about how his shoes fit perfectly and be extremely interested in Ralph's suit.
9th would probably call Ralph an idiot or monkey, but be happy if Ralph accidentally blew up something, especially any stray Daleks.
10th would go "What?" about a billion times then be excited to have Ralph travel with him.
and 11th would wonder why Ralph didn't have a bowtie or a hat with the suit because all of them are cool.
That would be great too! I'd like to hear more ideas!
How about "The Greatest American Hero" and "Knight Rider"?
