Scarves offer a fairly obvious danger to the human body, specifically the neck. One of the most delicate areas of the body, the neck has a large red and white target on it. What better way to stay warm and safe than to wrap a long piece of cloth known as a scarf around it. Dangling on both sides, the scarf provides easy access to strangulation. Several people die every year in scarf related accidents. I thought when people tied things around their necks they were attempting suicide? If not, no need to help the Grim Reaper out.
Shoes can be generally lumped together in a dangerous clothing category for the fact that many injuries and deaths are directly related to slips and falls, many of which are shoe related. Whether it's women breaking ankles from falls off their infinity high-heels or the change from slip resistant materials on soles of shoes. We are a clumsy people, faulty shoes certainly doesn't help. Tie those shoes; walk slowly and carefully, and whatever you do, one foot in front of the other.
The brassier is one of the most intimate pieces of clothing, so when it is linked to danger and death, fear ensues. Two women walking in Hyde Park in London were struck by lightning and instantly killed. Apparently post mortem analysis linked the under wire in their bras as the conductor attracting the lightning. The lightning caused burns along the under wires and completely melted the metal in the bras. Not only is the under wire in your bras uncomfortable, it's deadly uncomfortable.
Tight control underwear could raise serious health concerns for you. Doctors warn against tight underwear since they have potential to cause a number of health problems including restrictive breathing, heartburn and inflammation or rise of ulcers in the stomach. Tighty whities and high rise form reducing undies have similar effects to that of a corset which has long been warned against wearing. One must way the sexy producing effects with the possible health reducing risks. Tight underwear has potential to adversely affect bowel movements.
Swim wear and skimpy clothing provide the most dangerous health effect clothing has the potential to exasperate, skin cancer. Exposing skin in a time of heightened exposure to UV rays poses increased risk to skin cancer. According to the Cancer Society, one in 5 Americans will get skin cancer in their life time, and one person every hour dies from the cancer, primarily melanoma. Show off all that extra skin at your own peril, and if you must, please remember to use a proper sunscreen lotion. We love to see skin, but we also love to see healthy skin.
Be aware and warned of the dangers your favorite pieces of clothing possess. Be safe out there and look good while staying healthy, minimize the risks and stay off the Grim Reaper a little longer.
