Jose Zuniga
The vibrating cell phone

On the table sounds like

Your voice but you and it don't

Hear me saying

--go outside-

lost,

surrounded by pretty red roses

growing beanstalk-style over ten feet tall,

a maze of thorns with beauty not reached,

this relationship,

yet you won't-

go outside-

those lines

with your white lace gloves

caressing my side

and leaving so fast

when I tell you to STOP-your

un-shallow and friendly attitude-

as if I had to point to the

neon-red sign above

our relationship, which reads:

"Crafted out of boredom."
