Artisan Pasta from Pappardelle's Pasta Comes to Chicago French Market

CHICAGO (March 22, 2010) -Chicago French Market at MetraMarket in Chicago's Fulton River District (131 N. Clinton St.; 312-575-0306) announces its newest vendor, Pappardelle's Pasta, opening Tuesday, Mar. 23 offering its signature handmade artisan dryer and fresh frozen pasta made with 100 percent durum semolina flour.

Founded in 1984, Pappardelle's Pasta provides the finest restaurants, specialty shops and farmers' markets with more than 100 varieties of pastas, ranging from traditional combinations like Italian Pesto Blend or Garden Spinach Angel Hair, to exotic offerings such as Fanciful Fruit Gemelli, Dark Chocolate Linguine, Spanish Saffron Trenette, Spring Medley Orzo, Tunisian Harissa Fettuccine, and Sweet Potato Pappardelle. Pappardelle's also offers sauces, pesto, bruschetta, oils, vinegars and marinades.

Already serving several farmers' markets throughout the Chicago area and across the country in markets like Seattle's Pike Place Market, owners Jim and Paula Steinberg open Chicago's first permanent Pappardelle's location at Chicago French Market, under the helm of general manager Norine Mulry.
