A little dolly is tired;
She has traveled so far;
From her home in Oklahoma;
To her new home in New York;
But she is happy now;
Because she has made new friends;
A Cheyenne princess loves her;
And so does Suzy;
The little green cat;
She sits next to the Lisa doll;
Upon the computer desk;
Dressed in her festive best;
Red and white beads;
Adorn her blue dress;
She is named Kateri;
After a Mohawk maiden;
Who is called blessed;
And will one day be named a Saint;
Her new guardian smiles;
As she makes herself at home
She has traveled so far;
From her home in Oklahoma;
To her new home in New York;
But she is happy now;
Because she has made new friends;
A Cheyenne princess loves her;
And so does Suzy;
The little green cat;
She sits next to the Lisa doll;
Upon the computer desk;
Dressed in her festive best;
Red and white beads;
Adorn her blue dress;
She is named Kateri;
After a Mohawk maiden;
Who is called blessed;
And will one day be named a Saint;
Her new guardian smiles;
As she makes herself at home
Dear Readers...You might be a little lost if you haven't read my earlier work. Most of the characters are featured in other poems. The Lisa doll is featured in a poem by the same name. Suzy, the little green cat, is featured in the poem, "The Little Green Cat." And The Cheyenne princess is featured in the poem, "The Gift."
