As the Darkness Falls

As the darkness falls deep inside my heart I can only imagine what lies ahead for me. I turn, my heart suddenly beats faster and faster. Can you hear them? The voices calling from the distance, beckoning all those who lie in the shadows to come, come home. I close my eyes as tight as they will go. My heart starts beating and fluttering so fast that I think I'm going to die. As the voices grow near I can feel my body getting cold. What is this that lies ahead of me. Paralyzed with fear, I can only look ahead as the chill increases. I open my eyes to find that I'm not in the darkness I'm surrounded by a brilliant white light and the voices I heard were my family telling me to come home. If you fall into the darkness know that there will always be someone to help guide you to the light. Love be to those with love in their hearts.
