When asked He said " love one another as
I have loved you."
For most of us, a hard thing to do.
It would require a selfless attitude, something
few possess.
Putting others ahead of ourselves would
cause distress.
To be patient and kind with those we meet.
To be gracious, not jealous, in defeat.
Never be boastful or arrogant when you win.
To insist on your own way would be a sin.
Irritable or resentful you could never be.
Rejoice when things go wrong, bad to see.
Always rejoice when things go right.
Help others when they have to fight.
To bare the pain, believe in others and
endure to the end.
This is what it means to love my friend.
