How To Use:
Step one: Make sure to start with clean skin. Wash your skin with soap and water and dry thoroughly.
Step two: Apply the hair removal pads to the applicator. This is quiet easy to do. Just peel back the adhesive backing and press the hair removal pad onto the applicator.
Step three: Using a circular motion, rub the applicator over your skin. The Smooth Away directions suggest that you do three circles clockwise and then three circles counter clockwise. Continue until all unwanted hair is removed.
Smooth Away does exactly what the products claims it will do. It will remove hair painlessly. However, it will not remove hair effortlessly. You will have to make several passes before the hair is removed. Also, contrary to what you will see on the infomercial, a substantial amount of pressure is needed for Smooth Away to work. I found that I had about a week before I need to use Smooth Away again.
Smooth Away comes with two applicators, ten replacement pads (five large and five small), instructions and a carrying case. The bigger applicator is for larger areas of skin like your arms or legs and the smaller applicator is for your knees, lips and bikini area. I found that the smaller applicator does not work very well. It was easier to use the corner of the larger applicator to remove hair around my knees and ankles.
While buffing the hair from your body with Smooth Away you will find that your skin will turn white and powdery. This is normal and there is no need for concern. It is the result of your dead skin cells being removed from your body. You can rinse away the residue with water or apply moisturizer to remove the powdery residue.
One drawback from using Smooth Away is that when your skin gets wet for the first time after using the product, you may feel a slight tingly or burning sensation. This is due to the microscopic abrasions that can be produced from using Smooth Away.
If you're not in a hurry, then Smooth Away is a great product to use for hair removal. It can be purchased online, via the infomercial or at department stores like Target.

Post a CommentI've used Smooth Away and I liked it. However, I found that 600 grit wet/dry automotive sandpaper does exactly the same thing at about 1/3 the cost. I just use Blu-tack to hold it on to the grips that came with the Smooth Away.
Thanks for this product review. I think I'll stick to shaving, though, sounds like too much work for me!
