My computer rankings had a bit of a shakeup as Oregon climbed up to #6 and Pittsburgh dropped a few spots after an idle week. I guess there was some change in strength of schedule that factored in. But really, 5-11 in the Asbury computer are very tightly bunched. The top 4 - Alabama, Texas, Florida, and Cincinnati - are way ahead of the rest of the field.
This Thanksgiving week, there are a lot of rivalries, but most of them shouldn't actually be very close games. Among the top teams playing rivalry games this week, Alabama is most likely to slip up against 7-4 Auburn. Florida should have no problem with FSU, likewise Texas with A&M, and GT with Georgia. Clemson-South Carolina I think will be one of the most entertaining games this week. CJ Spiller is coming on strong as a late Heisman candidate and plays a talented South Carolina team that has struggled lately. However, for Spiller to get many first place votes for Heisman, he'll have to be a big factor in Clemson beating Georgia Tech in the ACC Championship game in 2 weeks.
