Ascension Christian Preschool has a wonderful staff. As soon as I walked into the preschool I was greeted with smiles and eye contact. I asked one of the teachers if I could observe their class to get an idea what they do. She welcomed me with a happy tone of voice and told to make myself comfortable in one of their chairs. As I was sitting another teacher came and asked if I had any questions. I asked her many different questions and she was patient with me in answering. For example, I asked her if they do anything that religious in nature. She told me even though the class takes place at a church they don't talk about anything religious. Another question I asked was the age group of the children. She told me the program is for children two in a half to five years of age.
Ascension Christian Preschool has a wonderful educational curriculum for the children. One teacher told me every week they have a theme and activities are centered on the theme. For example, when I was visiting the theme was Easter. The children were making Easter bunny hats and did Easter egg painting. The teacher also read a book about Peter Rabbit.
Ascension Christian Preschool has a wide variety of toys. There is so much the children can play with at this school. I saw blocks; dress up clothes, puzzles, books, legos and more inside the classroom. I saw tricycles, swings, a slide and sand box outside of the classroom. The school offers so many different fun toys that children can explore and play with.
Ascension Christian Preschool has clean toys. Compared to some of the preschools that I visited this preschool has clean toys. One of the teacher's told me that once a week they clean the inside toys and once a month they clean the outside toys. She told me they even get the children involved to help teach them about the importance of keeping our toys clean.
Ascension Christian Preschool cost varies depending on how many days you want your child to go to school. For example for five days it cost $425 a month and for three it cost $385 a month. Not too bad for the quality educational environment that you get.
Ascension Christian Preschool is a great school with wonderful staff and fun curriculum for the children. Ascension Christian Preschool is a school I would recommend to anyone who wants to start their child in preschool.

Post a CommentThis article was brought to my attention from a friend and as I was reading I found a comment to be inaccurate. I am the director of Ascension Christian Preschool in Citrus Heights and we do have our preschool in a church and we do teach the children Bible stories and share with them God's love. In the article you stated that you asked a teacher if we do anything religious in nature and the response was, "even though class takes place in a church they don't talk about anything religious." This is not correct. As a Christian preschool we look at this preschool as a ministry and we want the children to learn about Jesus. We have chapel everyday at 9am where we learn Bible stories, Bible songs, and learn memory verses. This is very important to us.
Thank you for the other nice things you said about us, but I just wanted to clarify that point. Thank you.
