Looking for a great show and a really fun time for all ages? This weekend come see the Asheville Arts Center's production of "101 Dalmatians!"

The Asheville, NC Asheville Arts Center's Asheville Children's Theatre presents a very talented 4 -7 year old cast in this classic tale. Shows are Friday at 6 pm, Sat at 4 pm, and Sun at 2 pm. Call 253-4000 for tickets.

"The Hundred and One Dalmatians," or "The Great Dog Robbery," was originally a classic 1956 children's novel by Dodie Smith. It was remade as the classic Disney film "101 Dalmatians" in 1961 and a into a Disney live-action film in 1996.

A theater version is one of the most frequently performed stage shows for children in the 4 to 7 year old range, delighting parents and audiences of all ages with fun-packed regional performances.

You are sure to get a kick out of the Asheville Arts Center performance of "101 Dalmatians" by this hard-working young company. The Asheville Children's Theatre caters to both young students who have never been on stage before and to children who are already "veteran" performers and want to have a chance at lead roles in all-youth productions.

The Asheville Arts Center produces five Asheville Children's Theatre productions per year. "101 Dalmatians" is the winter show. They also have stage shows for performers up to 18 years old. The "rehearsals" are actually classes held twice weekly: 1 hour twice a week for the 4-7 year olds, and 1.5 hours twice a week for the 8-18 year olds.

Check out the Asheville Children's Theatre pages for more information and don't forget to come out and see a darling production this weekend in the 4-7 year-old's version of "101 Dalmatians."
