Ashlee Simpson is filing for divorce from Pete Wentz. So is the reason for Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz' divorce another man?

Well, it's easy to imagine John Mayer swooping in to take care of the single gal, something the crass crooner has made sort of a hobby for himself. In fact, John Mayer was there to comfort Jessica Simpson after her divorce from Nick Lachey, and I bet he would be thrilled to live every guy's dream and score with two sisters. But is there already another man in Ashlee Simpson's life already?

According to TMZ, the reason for Ashlee Simpson filing for divorce from Pete Wentz isn't because of another man, it's because of the man's she currently married to. She reportedly just can't take his erratic behavior anymore, and it's hard not to blame the girl for finally giving up on him. After all, this is the guy who revealed way too much about their sex life on the Howard Stern show, where he spoke of lap dances, mirrors, and other extremely personal aspects of their lovemaking. Pete Wentz' past troubles also include leaked nude photos and a suicide attempt, but he does have a reason for his erratic behavior: he suffers from bipolar disorder.

Still, it might be best for 26-year-old Ashlee Simpson to follow in the footsteps of Olivia Wilde and enjoy sowing her wild oats as a hot young celebrity. Her circumstances might be more similar to those of Christina Aguilera, who also has a young son, but it's probably best to avoid what Christina Aguilera has done by jumping straight into another relationship.

And Ashlee Simpson could also learn from Jessica Simpson's post-divorce dating life by playing the field like her big sis (who literally does play the football field). There are plenty of famous fish in the sea, after all, but hopefully Ashlee Simpson actually finds one with a job (it doesn't seem like she does anything that makes money these days). And if she really does want to follow in her sister's footsteps like she has so far (well, except for the baby and her slim figure, two things Jessica Simpson doesn't have), I think Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez might need some love from an older lady.
