Ashley Greene Scandal Pictures and Miley Cyrus Pole Dancing

Do Good Girls Adopt a Bad Girl Image in Droves?

When Ashley Greene scandal pictures emerged, the Twilight star got a lawyer; in the aftermath of the Miley Cyrus pole dancing incident, apologists are suggesting that scandalized folks are trying to get women back into baggy clothes. Huh?

Sins of the Flesh? Ashley Greene Scandal Pictures vs. Vanessa Hudgens Pics
The so called Ashley Greene scandal pictures were posted online on gossip blogger Perez Hilton's site, but People reports that the Twilight star was quick to get her attorney involved; subsequently Perez Hilton - an arbiter of political correctness - took them down.

Ms. Greene's attorney suggests that these scandal pictures are illegal, which might propel them into the same category as Erin Andrews' peephole pictures that recently made the news. On the flipside are Vanessa Hudgens and naked photos of her, which she admits to taking. Bitten and Bound suggests that they were not intended for public consumption but instead of a more private nature for her boyfriend.

Miley Cyrus Pole Dancing Incident
The teen choice awards show was regaled by sweet 16 Miley Cyrus pole dancing. It is unclear who thought it was a good idea to put a semi stripper pole into her routine. A snippet of an interview with her dad I caught on the 10 o'clock news last night had Mr. Cyrus saying that he supported Miley Cyrus' performances as long as she had a good time.

The L.A. Dancing Examiners are taking a giant leap in the other direction, effectively shutting down any anti-Miley Cyrus pole dancing commenters by describing them as more or less taciturn persons intent on ruining everyone's - especially women's -- fun.

Analyzing Miley Cyrus Pole Dancing Against the Backdrop of Ashley Greene Scandal Pictures
It is safe to say that there would be no Ashley Greene scandal pictures or Miley Cyrus pole dancing if there was no money in either. Unfortunately, when this money is waved in front of the starlets, they are more likely to throw caution to the wind than if it were suggested to the more seasoned actresses. (The one exception might be Jennifer Aniston, who claimed her GQ photo shoot was an accident.)

This gives rise to what NJ.com's parental guide refers to as a "good girl gone bad routine." Analyzing Ashley Greene, who is seeking to undo any damage of scandalous photos, and Miley Cyrus, who is readily embracing the image change to a much more grown up version of her self, I must confess that the NJ parent guide has it right.

Nice info but I am not all that impressed.

I'm with Tony. It is too bad that the US doesn't celebrate role models for young women who aren't strippers. Why not start celebrating the single mom who works 2 jobs to support her kids or the grandmother who is raising the children of her daughter? I guess those won't sell ads or newspapers.

Ashley Greene ?? I have to get out more...thanks for keeping us..or rather me in the know ;-) This is another example of why parents must not confuse great talent with greatness of character...or more importantly why we mustn't allow our children to confuse the two.
