Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore: Will Their Marriage Survive?

Rumors have been swirling for a couple of weeks now that the much younger Ashton Kutcher cheated on his much older wife, Demi Moore, with a really young woman.

When the story first hit the gossip rags and media outlets, Ashton Kutcher hit out hard and fast threatening to sue The Star tabloid magazine for slander and defamation of character.

Since then, the 21 year old woman, Brittney Jones has come forward saying that she is the woman that had sex with Ashton Kutcher on Demi Moore's couch while she was away filming a movie.

Oh, and they had incredible chemistry too. Just sayin'.

RadarOnline is reporting today that Brittney Jones has been totally obsessed with Ashton Kutcher for years, according to "those close to her" and that she has been trying to hook up with him. Also according to "those close to her", Brittney Jones is a gold digger and will do anything to get close to stars. Yawn. Whatever.

Of course, there will be those who will chalk this up (if, it is true, of course) to the age difference between Demi and Ashton. That is, she's an "old broad" at 47 and he is still such a young stud in his 30s who perhaps just needed to find someone younger. True? Maybe.

I do know that Demi Moore is one incredibly gorgeous (albeit store bought) woman with a body to die for. She takes extremely good care of herself and she looks a helluva lot better than most 21 year olds, frankly. So, if the rumors are true, it's very apparent it's not about looks. So, if Ashton Kutcher did stray, it's not about how beautiful, how old or how inferior his wife is. Remember Hugh Grant and his infamous dalliance with downtown whore Divine Brown? And while you're scratching your head trying to remember Hugh Grant, do you remember his girlfriend of 15 years at the time, Liz Hurley? How about Halle Berry, Christie Brinkley, Sandra Bullock and Elin Nordegren? All incredibly gorgeous woman, no? Each one of them has been cheated on.

If a man strays, it's RARELY about looks or age. It's about something much deeper than that, like loneliness, feelings of inadequacy, feeling unwanted or devalued in some way and last, but not least, and maybe the exact reason...........because he could.

Of course, you can't determine by Ashton's response (coming out hard and fast.....please pardon the pun........against The Star) because sometimes cheaters will do that. Former presidential candidate and Senator John Edwards comes to mind and we all know how that turned out.

For now, Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore are in defense mode, with a united front and seemed determined to defy and weather the rumors. Ashton has visited Demi on the set of her new movie, "The Reasonable Bunch", in Michigan and friends say they are doing fine.

Others, of course, have a different view and believe that the age difference between Ashton and Demi has "come back to haunt them".

I think those people would be classified as 'frienemies".
