This is a bustling hub for the thriving Asian and Vietnamese community in the area. The new building is clean and houses a fresh seafood section, butcher and meat section, as well as a variety of Asian dry foods, produce, can goods and snacks. Prices here can be a little more on the pricier side, but watch out for their weekly deals and sales. There is also an adjacent "mall" side which has a bakery that sells fresh French bread, a tasty Chinese barbecue vendor, and other conveniences like a hair salon, jewelry store, and cell phone dealer. Many people like this store because it's a one stop shop and is nearby to the popular Bistro B Vietnamese restaurant.
2. New Truong Nguyen Supermarket
221 Village Plaza
Garland, Texas 75040
972.276.1185
Truong Nguyen has been a staple in the Asian community for years now. The building is on the old side and you can tell when you walk in. But they always have great prices on exotic fruits and vegetables as well as a fresh seafood and meat section. They recently renovated and have more aisle space for Asian staples like rice flour, rice paper, flat rice noodles, curry paste, coconut milk, grass jelly, and any other delicacy you're searching for.

This is also one of the newer buildings for all of your Asian product needs. The supermarket is housed inside the multiplex and boasts fresh produce, meats, and seafood. Their aisles are clean and tidy and well-organized. Beyond the supermarket, is their mall which has a generous food court that has authentic Vietnamese dishes, Korean barbeque, hot and spicy crawfish, a bustling bakery, and even a sandwich shop (Le's Sandwich). If you have the time, they also included a new smoothie shop that has interesting options like lychee yogurt.
5. Hiep Thai Asian Market
3347 West Walnut Street
Garland, TX 75042-7157

Hiep Thai is located across Jupiter Road from Truong Nguyen. Many people have said that they don't like this Asian supermarket because it's old and dirty. But the owners try their best to keep things tidy. It's still worth a visit to see their wide assortment of Asian vegetables and fruits. They also have a good fresh selection of meats and seafood.
