Ask and You Shall Receive, Even a Million Dollars

A 27 year Brooklyn comedian who made a You Tube video asking for anybody out there to give him $1 million dollars claims his dream has come true. The latest Internet Sensation, Craig Rowin says he's flabbergasted by his good fortune.

Two months ago, Rowin, a comedian in New York posted a plea for cash on You Tube. "Just give me a chunk", he implored, checking off names of millionaires like Lady Gaga, Warren Buffet, Gary Busey, Tom Seaver, Nelson Mandela, Rudy Giuliani and Ed Koch, just to name a few of the individuals he contacted. "If you're unable, "sorry" but you guys are all heroes anyway", he said to the millionaires.

Rowin insisted this is no stunt in a new video he made a couple days ago. He produced as proof a notarized letter from a mysterious moneyman named Benjamin. He also played a telephone call on the You Tube video from the supposed Benjamin who wants to make Rowin a millionaire.

Rowin said he will reveal Benjamin's last name on Feb.2, when he collects the check at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on West 26th St. in Manhattan. I guess I would wait until I had the check actually in my hand also, before I revealed this generous gentleman's last name.

Although he insists the videos are no stunts, longtime friends aren't too convinced this is a sure thing. A former college buddy of his says that Rowin was the one who always got pranks pulled on him. "It would be hilarious if he thought a guy was giving him a million dollars and he wasn't', the former college buddy said.

Rowin said he didn't ask for the money for any particular reason. He said he just thought it would be awesome to have a million dollars. I guess I would have to agree with him on that.

Craig Rowin lists his hometown online as Scarsdale. He promised to eat a McDonald's McRib sandwich if somebody gave him a million dollars Why that is important, I haven't quite figured out.

I wish Mr. Rowin well with his new found fortune, if he actually receives it, that is. I would definitely say this is a "one in a million" story and chances of this happening to anyone else under these same circumstances is probably "one in a million", also.
