Aspirin and Breath Mint Tins Make for Great Little Organizers

Get Organized!

Dina Montgomery
Have you ever wondered what you could possibly do with all those leftover breath mint and aspirin tins? These handy little containers are a great way to store and organize small household items or just about anything that is small and gets lost easily. Instead of throwing them out, keep them and use them to store all your tiny items that you always seem to lose and can't find. Keep all those tins stored in a drawer, purse, or even in your pocket, so you will always know exactly where they are when you need them.

Storing stamps

To keep stamps from being lost and prevent them from sticking together, store them in a breath mint or aspirin tin. You will always know where they are when you need to send off a bill or letter.

Storing sewing items

This is an easy way to keep your sewing box organized and neat. Store buttons, snaps, sequins, and even beads in these handy little tins and you won't have to go digging through your sewing box hunting for them. You can label the tin or even glue a sample of the item to the lid so you know exactly which tin holds what.

Storing necklaces

Storing necklaces in these tins are a great way to keep them from getting tangled with other necklaces and other jewelry. You can keep them separate from each other and won't have to fuss with detangling them when you want to wear them.

Storing workshop items

Breath mint and aspirin tins are great for storing small items from the workshop. You can place small nails, setscrews, lock washers, and other various small items so they won't get lost in the jungle of all your other workshop items and tools.

Storing an emergency sewing kit

This is a great way to store necessary sewing items in your pocket or in your purse just in case. Now you won't panic when a button goes missing from your shirt or blouse. Very handy for on-the-spot repairs, just whip out the tin and the day is saved.

Storing loose change

You can easily store loose change in these small tins. Keep them from sinking down to the bottom of your purse making it weigh a ton or filling up your pocket. Whenever you need a quarter, dime, nickel or penny, you know exactly where they are.

Next time you finish up all the breath mints or aspirins, don't throw out the tin. Keep them and you will always have a handy container for all your small items.

I use them for those really small buttons and for beads that would otherwise get lost in a plastic organizer.
