When we started thinking about this application, we decided that the group we could help most would be our Content Producers, so we catered the application to their needs. We didn't want to forget about our other users though, so we made sure all of our users could benefit from the application.
Let's take a look around, shall we?
The about page is standard to all Facebook applications, and it's where you can add, discuss, and review the app, as well as meet other people who've added the application.
After you've added the application, you'll be greeted with the Share page, the main page of the application. From here you can share content and the application with your Facebook friends. We try to find content you'll like based on your interests, and show you some content your friends might like, based on theirs. This content, like any found in the app, can be shared with all of your Facebook friends by clicking on the share button found near every piece of content listed by the app. We also allow you to search all of AC for content on any topic so you can share it with your friends, or enjoy it yourself. The share page is also where you'll find your content widget. The widget will appear in your profile, either in your boxes tab, or on your wall tab (you decide). You have full control over what content the widget will show to the world. If you're a content producer, you can even show your AC byline and link to your profile page on AC.
For those of you who are not Content Producers, your tour ends here. If you are a CP, you can log into AC from the top of any page in the application, which will unlock the rest of the application.
The first Content Producer only area is the Content page, a list of your content. We pull in the latest 200 pieces of your published content, and aside from the publish date, and links to the content, we also show you the estimated page views for each piece. Like every other piece of content in the application, you can easily share your work using the share button near each piece of content.
The final area of the application is the Account area. Here you can check up on some important areas of your AC account, such as the number of messages in your inbox, your estimated performance payment and your clout level. You can also see the full list of new Calls for Contentâ„¢, what's happening in the forum and learn about the next town hall meeting. You can also send invitations to your Facebook friends to join AC and increase your number of referrals. Lastly, we give you a list of useful links back to AC, for things like publishing, updating your profile, etc. The nice thing is that since you've already logged into the application as a CP, you'll be logged in to AC, so you can go directly there without having to log in again.
That is currently the extent of the application. We know you'll have lots of ideas about what works and what doesn't, and we'd love to hear your thoughts. Feel free to let us know what you think on the about page of the application, or in the forum on AC.
