Victoria Carrington, M.D. wrote Straight Facts on ADHD - Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder: What it Is, Who Gets It, What Causes it and How to Treat It. She lists it plain and simple, putting the actual facts about this disorder out there to help dispel the ADHD myths. This article made the top ten ADHD content list because not only is it informative, but it was carefully researched and shows. A very helpful article for a parent searching for ADHD fact based information.
Samantha Thompson wrote The Difference Between an ADHD Child and a Non ADHD Child. This article made the top ten ADHD Content list based on its very detailed comparison of both types of children. The differences were displayed for each symptom of ADHD in an easy to read and follow manner, making the article useful for anyone searching for ADHD information and comparing the types of children.
Empress Cindy wrote How To Help Your ADD/ADHD Child With Individual Interests. Another well-written, very researched article. It was obvious to the reader that Empress Cindy had worked closely with an ADHD child. Her article proved to be informative on ways to help a child with this disorder. Listing such things as encouraging their dreams and aspirations, as well as getting them involved in specialized classes, are just two of the many ways that were provided for helping your ADD/ADHD child with their individual interests. A very good article! Empress Cindy also has several other ADHD related articles that are of high interest to any parent or person who works closely with an ADHD diagnosed child.
Thea Mann wrote New Findings About Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. This was an excellent article where Ms. Mann provides information on new findings for this disorder, while also admitting that the information is nothing more than a study that shows links but no definitive cause. The article made the top ten list because not only was the article carefully researched, I found Ms. Mann's information to be highly encouraging to anyone seeking ADHD information. I firmly believe that one should be highly informed when dealing with any aspect of ADHD.
Christine Cadena wrote Straterra: A Non-Stimulant Treatment for ADD and ADHD. Ms. Cadena has obviously done her homework on ADHD medications, as she offers several other articles on this subject. However this was one of my favorite articles she has written. The content was informative and there were several ADHD facts listed in her content. Parents wanting to learn more about the different medications available to treat ADHD should definitely read this article as well as others by Christine Cadena.
Rene Caden recently wrote Alternative Treatments for Adults with ADD/ADHD. I chose this article to be in the top ten ADHD content for its helpful information on treating the condition without medication. Many adults have survived their entire lives without the use of stimulant drugs, and now is not the time to have to use them. Her alternative methods are easy to follow and hold proof in their ability to work for more adults. An absolute must read for an ADHD adult!
Tatyana Bass published the article No Need For Pills to Treat ADHD. This article was an easy add to the top ten list of ADHD content because she immediately explains that there are alternative treatments that can be tried to possibly decrease or even eliminate the need for medication. This was a very long article, but well worth the read. Many ideas were listed with backup information to help the parent or child with ADHD figure out ways to help combat the symptoms of ADHD. A highly recommended read when you have the time!
John Olley very recently published Do ADD and ADHD really exist?. In his article he gives several points of view - the believers, the non-believers and the believers who believe but cannot figure out how to treat the symptoms correctly. I thought this article should make the top ten ADHD content because of its factual information, obvious research and the reasoning behind questioning if ADHD really exists. Mr. Olley does a wonderful and lengthy job of providing countless facts and information for the person researching ADHD. This is recommended reading for all parents, students, and professionals dealing with an ADHD child.
Lori O'Day who wrote Treating ADHD and Keeping The Peace! provides a look into the the ADHD disorder, its symptoms and new ways to begin focusing on a stress free life for the person with this diagnosis. Honestly, if I had ordered these in an order from 1-10, Ms. O'Days' article would have made the number one spot. I felt it was an extremely unbiased look at medication, alternatives and ADHD in general.
The Benefits of Homeschooling a Child With ADD is written by content producer, Renee. While it is not my favorite article, and almost did not warrant a spot on the top ten ADHD content list, the reason I included it is because of my belief that ADHD children will benefit strongly from homeschooling. I have written two articles already that deal with this subject and intend to write many more. Unfortunately a search for ADHD and Homeschooling articles does not produce many results, however this article is a good starting point. While I felt the article could have been lengthier I thought that Renee provided several good points. This article is an acceptable addition to the top ten ADHD content list.
While there are some content producers articles on ADHD that I would avoid entirely, please do not stop with only these articles listed here. Associated Content has produced dozens upon dozens of excellent articles on the subject of ADHD. These are only one content producers favorite articles after researching many.
