Astro Projection - Manifesting the Future with My Mind

Franklyn Gallup
I was struggling along in my wood flooring business with a 1969 Dodge cargo van. It was getting about 9 miles to a gallon of gas. The brakes were all shot to the point where I would have to replace the drums, rotors, calipers and more. The cost of fixing it was more than the van was worth.

I had been studying "The Secret" and decided to give it a try again. Ideally, I wanted a small white Chevy Astro with a 6 cylinder engine with overdrive to help with the gas mileage. I wanted it to be white since the old Dodge was white so it would carry on the branding of my company that I had acquired.

I also wanted it to not have a window in the sliding door so I could use the full side of the van for lettering.

My first step was to find the exact van I wanted so I had a clear image of what it was I wanted. I made a trip to Jet Chevrolet in Federal Way, WA specifically to find my dream van. Mapquest told me the dealership was 57 miles away but I knew it would have exactly what I was looking for.

After doing a few wrong turns I finally got to the dealership. I was quickly approached by a salesman. I explained exactly what I was looking for and he took me to the location where the vans were. A brand new 2005 white Astro van without the window in the door was on the lot. Interestingly Chevy stopped making the Astro in 2005. I never have understood why.

After listening to his explanation for all the features, I thanked him and took some time studying the van. This was exactly what I wanted. The only problem was the $25,000 price tag. After studying the new van for a while I went back to the salesperson and asked to see what he had in used vans that met my requirements.

He showed me one van that would work but it was still priced a little higher than what I wanted to spend. After spending a little time with this second van I asked if he had a catalog with the 2005 vans in it.

I browsed through the catalog and there was a picture of the exact van I had seen on the lot. It was white without the window in the side door. I came home and that picture ended up in front of one of my computer monitors where I looked at it everyday for a month.

I was out getting supplies about a month after the visit to Jet Chevrolet and happened to look over at a used car lot and there it was. I almost had an accident making the turn into the parking lot.

The van was a 1995 with a little damage from an accident but was almost like new in appearance. Chevy didn't change the Astro very much from 1995 to 2005 so it was basically the same van.

The $1500 price tag was the thing that convinced me this was exactly what I had been thinking about. I am convinced that my thoughts directed me to the van.

I had the new van lettered by the same company that lettered the old Dodge. That was 4 years ago and I am still using the Astro. It has made the trip from Centralia, Washington to Cape Canaveral, Florida and back twice. I went to spend a month with my mother both times.

It has also been to Long Island and back.

I currently have a picture of a 2006 F430 Ferrari dashboard as the picture on my computer's desktop now. It may take a while to find one for $1500 but it doesn't hurt to try.

I made a point of stopping at the Orlando, Florida Ferrari dealership while I was in Florida. I took lots of pictures.

I also stopped at the Ferrari dealership in Alpharetta, Georgia (just north of Atlanta) Where I took the desktop picture holding the camera just in front of the driver's seat headrest. Every time I turn on my computer the thought of owning a Ferrari comes to mind.

So someday when you least expect it you will see a Ferrari passing you. I will wave as I pass you so you will know that it is me.

Cute! But you know what? Had you been looking for a petite brunette or a carwash instead you would have spotted them too. :-)

Nice article on the Law of Attraction! Part of this principle comes from the setting of the natural filtering of our sensory inputs. When you have something in your mind, you are more likely to notice it in your surroundings, as you did with the used van. I cahllenge you now to remove the expectation of paying for your Ferrari! Why shouldn't it be free (or paid for with lottery winnings)?!
