Astrology of the Moon Signs Forecast for February 5 Through 11, 2012

carol gibson

This week brings a full moon in Leo, and being a Leo, I want to roar about generalist astrology that makes the top headlines on MSN. This is the cutesy stuff that elicits advertising revenue, but often crosses the borderline of what's ethical and what's not.

In short, don't listen to the compatibility recommendations found in these trite astrology articles. These recommendations can be so inaccurate that the information they contain could actually be dangerous if followed. Listed below are some links to authentic compatibility astrology, including a bazaar incident after which I abandoned astrology for a year. (See the link in the side bar.)

By the way, did I mention Leo and drama go hand in hand? Uh, sometimes Leos are chauvinistic too.

An interesting discussion about Carl Jung, famed psychoanalyst, appeared in an article found at the Noetic Institute recently. Toward the end of his career, Jung studied archetypes. He is led to this by a hunch that certain symbols register the same in the human subconscious mind. With that, he began to uncover minute findings that planetary influences do indeed affect the state of mind.

Thankfully, Virgo always comes along after Leo which serves to tone down the drama by getting us back to earthier concerns. Lovely Libra provides an entirely pleasant atmosphere on Saturday.

The moon sign predictions are based on a general atmosphere. With the moon being the closest celestial body to earth, Luna pulls the ocean tides and influences the behavior of us earthlings. This is not to be applied to any particular sun sign, but instead focuses on an overall effect.

The colors listed with the days are attributed to the sign that the moon is passing through. The targeted time zone is for the U.S. Check NASA's time conversion table for different hemispheres.

Weekly Moon Sign Activity Recommendations

February 5

Cancer - light gray, soft yellow, white

Sunday

Continuing the highlight on home and family, sensitive Cancer leads the way. Children, home events, and nurturing are key words. Beauty treatments and shopping are also favored.

February 6, 7, 8

Leo - red, orange, yellow, royal blue

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Full Moon on Tuesday

Usually the full moon effects dominate the days on either side of those that are officially listed as the full moon. A unique feature for this month is a fire sign combined with gravitational effects from the moon. Baking bread is a sure fire thing (excuse the pun, please.) This concept applies to cakes and other goods that will rise during the baking process. Such a combo leads to quicker results, so be sure to watch closely if baking .

Haircuts during this period will trend toward increasing thickness and growth in general.

February 9, 10

Virgo - white, gray, navy blue

Thursday, Friday

Virgo the virgin, as regular readers may have noticed, often represents cleansing. This is a good time to look for misplaced items. Good activities include anything that requires a bit of patience. Children are also an important aspect of these days.

February 11

Libra - pink, shades of light blue or green

Sunday

The first of two days to enjoy Libra's balancing effect will also focus on beauty. Organizing and shopping are also highlighted for the end of this weeks moon sign astrology.

    Hi Everybody!

Oops, I offered a link in the sidebar not realizing we no longer have a sidebar. If interested in finding out about the bazaar configuration with an astrological compatibility assessment, you can go to my story by entering the title in the above Yahoo! search bar. This is a really great feature now, and it gets you to the object of the search even if the title doesn't exactly match (yahoo!) The story is presented in third person with one of my alter ego names, but it's a true story. Here's the title to copy paste:
