Astrology of the Moon Signs Forecast for January 1 Through 7, 2012

Astrology of the first quarter moon phase makes a good time to start out a new year, as well as a new month in 2012. More than this, Luna is visiting the arc of Aries and energies are poised toward forging ahead.

Also, a sky watching favorite, the Wolf Moon, is making its yearly January return, as per Wikipedia. It's always on a full moon, which will be next Monday. Mark the calendar for a spectacular night sky early next week. A timely view of the full moon's approach during the week will not disappoint.

Travel and communication is the weekend highlight with Mercury ruled Gemini occupying three days of this week. This light and airy sign contributes to great sociability for the end of the week combined with an energetic mood that comes with the first quarter lunar phase.

Projects planned during the previous moon phase should activate this week. Budding plans move forward with ease.

About Moon Sign Astrology

The emotional climate of the nearest celestial body has an effect on people, as well as plant life. The fast moving arc of influence isn't focused on anyone's particular sun sign. Because the moon moves so quickly, the emanations from the sign that the moon is visiting create more of an overall emotional influence.

The moon moves the tides, and most warm blooded creatures are made up of a large percentage of water, so the phase of the moon is equally important. The combination of the lunar phase of the moon and the sign it occupies will not repeat itself for three hundred ninety four years.

Most of the information shared in the moon sign astrology I learned from practicing and reading George Llewellyn's publication "Daily Moon Sign Activity Guide". Llewellyn's moon sign guide book is out of print, but I used it for so long, that the principals became ingrained in memory. When looking into other planetary action, I refer to "Planets in Transit" by Robert Hand.

Readers often ask about the reason for listing colors as part of the moon sign astrology forecast. In the great order of astrological reasoning, each sign has a best color which loosely equates to what octaves are to music. Any hues listed are known to be compatible with the astrologic sign of that transit. These are also recommended meditation colors for the two or three day lunar transits listed.

Different parts of the world may have different timing. NASA provides information for this.

January 1, 2

Aries - red, white, orange, yellow

Sunday, Monday

Aries is often referred to as the warrior sign, yet its attributes are more far reaching. Everyday activities for these two days could be capsulated with the sentiment of "seize the day," as Robin Williams explains the notion in "Dead Poets Society." Extra keen focus helps with accomplishment of a goal. Be sure, if involved in an intense physical activity, to wear protective eye ware and head gear on these days. Because of the pinpointed focus of Aries, these are also good shopping days.

January 3, 4

Taurus - pink, pale blue & green, reddish brown, dark tan

Tuesday, Wednesday

The moon visiting the arc of Taurus provides a mellow slowdown period. A focus on beauty, home and family sets the mood for these two days. Beautifying the environment or simply preparing a favorite meal or treat goes well. Beauty treatments are favored.

January 5, 6, 7

Gemini - yellow, orange or any color

Thursday, Friday, Saturday

Travel is favored on these days. Social events have the light and airy feeling that this mercurial sign is known for.

Heads up for writers: these three days provide an atmosphere that is great for the flow of thoughts and words.

Organizing, especially in the category of fiscal matters, goes well with Gemini's kind of energy.

The moon sign astrology forecast is a weekly publication.
