Astrology of the Moon Signs Forecast for January 29 Through February 4, 2012

Overview of the Moon Sign Week Also see above feature article for basic explanation of this forecast.

An energetic Aries atmosphere on Sunday converts to the incoming energy of the slower moving sign of Taurus which dominates this seven day stretch.

Taurus, a sign of the earth, draws attention to beautiful surroundings. It wouldn't be too soon for gardeners to delve into some colorful seed catalogues, leaf through and make a plan.

Gemini picks up the tempo for the weekend and ushers all into the month of February.

A Peek at the Transiting Planets

Mars transiting Virgo shifts from a retrograde movement to a forward direction. Interestingly, the direct motion of the warring planet, Mars, coincides with a reprieve for the ailing U.S. postal system. The winged messenger, Mercury, is closely associated with Virgo and flow of communication.

With approximately a year left to go, Saturn is transiting Libra, and will be entering a retrograde period. The retrograde motion provides an opportunity to catch up on unfinished business as opposed to starting new directions. It's best not to make any new commitments at this time. This transit lasts until June leaving only a few short months before moving into Scorpio in October when Libra feels a release of a constrictive environment

Look toward a big change in areas of religious expression, as Neptune arrives home after a long stay in Aquarius. This twelve year departing transit held a focus on revolution, which coincided with emergence and development of Jihad aggression throughout the world.

Neptune, ruler of Pisces, has a natural home within the unseen world of religion, but now shifts to an emphasis of overall spirituality. A good example of the sacrificial element of religious beliefs as expressed through Pisces is Jesus' suffering and crucifixion. That era in history is known as the Age of Pisces. Currently, revolutionary events throughout the world are highlighted with a similar willingness to sacrifice for a cause or a heartfelt belief. In short, Neptune (religion) is in a compatible situation and is departing from the bazaar, quixotic influence of the past several years.

Shifting back to our closest celestial neighbor, the moon sign forecast describes a general mood. Certain signs that the moon passes through encourage activities that may require more patience or perhaps a do-it-now attitude for example. These are described here on a weekly basis. These aren't intended to be for a specific sun sign, but rather an atmosphere with the energy that disperses as the moon passes through the arc of a sign during the monthly cycle.

Colors listed with the signs are good for meditation or to wear on these days. This forecast changes depending on the hemisphere. Check NASA for the time conversions.

Weekly Moon Sign Astrology Forecast

January 29

Aries - red, white, orange, yellow

Sunday

Aries gives ambition. Zero in on a project, but don't forget to allow time for establishing a suitable finishing point. The fiery energy of Aries is good for the liftoff, but often gets stuck in procrastination at the end. Because of a ready-aim-fire sort of mentality, this day works well for shopping.

January 30, 31, and February 1

Taurus - pink, pale blue & green, reddish brown, dark tan

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

First Quarter on Monday

First quarter moon is symbolized as the seed unfurling and sprouting to an above ground life. Plans start to move forward. Centering attention on the good life pays off with activities toward this end. A haircut fits in nicely when the moon is in Taurus. Beauty treatments of any kind work well.

February 2, 3

Gemini - yellow, orange or any color

Thursday, Friday

Write, send letters, communicate, or travel. Balance the checkbook; get paperwork organized.

February 4

Cancer - light gray, soft yellow, white

Saturday

Preparation of good meals and gathering family around the home hearth may be just the perfect activity for the weekend. Shopping is favored as well as beauty treatments.
