Astrology of the Moon Signs for July 24 Through 30, 2011

The last day of this lunar week is the beginning of the new moon astrology forecast. Right now, during the last quarter phase, handling tasks and working with the diminished energy that accompanies this phase, it is important to manage activities wisely. The outlook for the week has a focus on interaction with others. Take a day to relax, and join up with friends and family.

This week is a good time to attend to finishing details of projects begun during an earlier moon phase. Since energy levels aren't at a high point, smaller tasks make a good focus. One challenge of managing and using the moon sign method is to realize when too many tasks are begun. It sort of goes with the phrase about when taking a walk. If you walk that mile, you also have to walk that mile back when you return.

These quadrants of the moon don't turn on and off like a light switch. There's always a blending time and other effects that are specific to an individual birth chart. If lined up with another planet of the same sign, the moon sign mood is amplified.

As the new moon phase comes to the forefront, the energy level increases. The new moon, also known as the insemination period, guides the direction of growth as the seedling planted unfurls itself under the ground. Likewise, there is that inertia of the surrounding ground that the seedling must surmount. Translating this to human activities, this phase is for planning rather than jumping into an activity immediately.

Through time, study and personal observation, I've learned that ideas that I act on too soon don't move forward so well before the first quarter phase. Once the ideas that I want to act on linger in the subconscious for a while, the result is a better work economy with executing the actual plan I had made.

Sunday and Monday's moon in Taurus are a great couple of days to relax, take time to daydream and plan. The influence of Taurus the Bull conjures up imagery of Ferdinand the Bull admiring the flowers. Even if those daydreams are unrealistic, they can help with relaxation.

The Moonsigns of the day describe a general mood for everyone. These days need not match anyone's Sun Sign to be effective. The moon casts an emotional effect that affects everyone.

The times are modified depending on the hemisphere. If the Moon sign and the Sun sign match, it's usually a perk.

Colors for the day synchronize with the moonsign mood, and are good colors to wear on the specified days. These are also good for color meditations on the coordinating days.
