The whole of all that is
boils down to pin-prick lights . . .
boils down to pin-prick lights . . .
a child with a nail
and a tin can
creating everything with tiny taps . . .
a world on a string
hanging in blue-black,
waiting for the next big breeze.
Unaware how truly small
the big events that mark
our ant days are,
we cannot see how

Too big
and too small
are the same
to us.

Post a CommentWow! I have used this word only once or twice, but never quite like this. Exceptional!
Thanks Bethany! He did like this one!
Great job, was your husband impressed? We all are!! : )
Astronomical imagery, my dear. I closed my eye and swam in pin pricks for a while.
You met that challenge well! I loved it! (I had to read this as I just used astronomical in something I wrote.)
Thank you! Well, maybe I'll have to challenge you sometime!:)
Awesome poem Tina. This is a lot like the random word exercise I use. I really liked the lines "a child with a nail
and a tin can
creating everything with tiny taps . . ."
