The new netbook isn't yet official and, from the looks of it, it make take a while for the Taiwanese manufacturer to decide to officially take the wraps off this Eee PC model. However, we do have a couple of leaked photos, courtesy of the French language Blogeee , and even some technical specifications to go with the available pictures.

As the netbook's name points out, the Eee PC 1002HA is going to be part of the company's range of 10-inch systems, and it might just be one of the best Eee PC flavors yet. Once you take a good look at the pictures, you really notice the interesting, distinctive features on the new Eee PC that will set it apart from other 10-inch systems in ASUS' Eee family. As it turns out, the manufacturer seems to have reached the conclusion that its latest S101 netbook might just be bit on the pricey side, which is why it has come up with this one, the 1002HA, a netbook that clearly combines the design features of the S101 with those on the Eee PC 1000H. Moreover, all is put together in probably one of the best Eee PC models ASUS has developed so far, at least as far as aesthetics go.
The new Eee PC 1002HA is said to boast a weight of 1.2 kg, compared with the 1.45 kg on the 1000H model, and comes with a 4200mAh 2-cell battery. No specific details are available on the technical specifications, but it's likely it will boast an Intel N270 processor running at 1.6GHz, combined with 1GB of RAM, and probably a 160GB hard disk drive. You will obviously get the usual SDHC card reader, VGA, RJ45 ports and even a Kensington lock for security. There are only two USB ports neatly placed on the side of the netbook, while in front, two stereo speakers remind us of the S101 design.
Price-wise, the upcoming Eee PC 1002HA is expected to come with a price of €449, or approximately US$560, which is considerably better than what you will have to pay for ASUS' "high-end" S101.
