Two Different Methods for Successfully Treating Acne

Acne breakouts are a condition that everyone dislikes due to their nature, but they are actually a normal process your body performs to attempt to eliminate some of the harmful toxins. These toxins enter into the blood stream and are then excreted through the skin. This particular excretion of toxins is necessary to protect the insides of your body, primarily the organs, cells, tissues and blood.

At home acne treatments commonly entail two different methods of treating the acne. The first is to attack the acne from the outside, and the second involves a more wholesome process of eliminating it from the inside. It is preferred to choose the second method due to the fact that it can help restore your normal body functions and purge your body of toxins that caused the acne in the first place.

Attacking the acne from the inside usually involves making diet changes, such as eating healthier, wholesome and more organic based foods that are free from chemical compounds harmful to the body. One easy recipe is to make an herbal drink containing antioxidants. You can also make a lemon juice drink by mixing a squeezed lemon in water and adding honey to taste. Drinking this juice for a few days on an empty stomach will help cleanse your inside and hopefully the acne on the outside as well.

Other at home acne treatments involve getting plenty of sunlight for an excellent dosage of vitamin D and other minerals important for the body. Most acne is worse when certain chemically treated creams are applied to it or other make up. Make an effort to see what is causing you an allergic reaction and stop using it. If you are using makeup that is your skin is allergic to then try buying mineral makeup and natural creams that will soothe the acne and relieve your pain.

One of the best at home acne treatments is making a cream at home. All you will need for a basic cream is 3 teaspoons of organic beeswax, 1/3 cup olive oil, and 1/3 cup of coca butter. Mix these ingredients together on a double boiler. Remove and pour in a cream bottle. Keeping mixing the mixture until it has cooled just a little bit. Now add 7 drops of tea tree oil, mix well and close the container. Apply when cool. Tea tree oil is essential for killing bacteria and germs on the skin's surface and should aid in the healing of the skin.

Another great tip is to always keep your face clean and use organic olive oil soap. Olive oil is the least irritating oil and also has nourishing properties that help heal the skin. After you clean your face gently tap the face with a clean towel and apply the herbal tea tree cream mentioned above.

An additional excellent at home acne treatment is applying honey to the acne. Honey has anti-bacteria properties that help fight germs. While most people are not aware of honey's use as a skin treatment, it has proven to be as effective as many of the creams available in drug stores. Some studies have shown honey to heal a burn faster and more effectively than other medications.

These are some of the many treatments available that you can try at home. Remember that acne is also sometimes directly related to the mental state and attitude of a person. Generally, the more healthier and happier you are, the less chance it is for the acne to attack your body.
