Homemade Bath Essentials to Pamper Yourself

How much you put in of each ingredient is going to rely on common sense and how much you want to give back of what life is taking out of you.

Bath Salts

Begin with a plastic zip lock bag. Take advice from a mermaid and put in some sea salts. Let's say maybe you could try half a cup the first time around. Now, take advice from grandma no matter what your age and add half a cup of Epsom salts. Add a few drops of jojoba oil and also a few drops of vitamin e oil.Plus you'll need baking soda as a cleansing agent. Don't forget to include your favorite scent such as lavender or peppermint. You'll use just a little. Be sure it says on the label your scent is safe for bath and body.

 Where to Get Your Ingredients

Sea salt is sold at grocery stores while Epsom is usually at Wal-Mart or drug stores. Epsom isn't actually a salt. www.pennypinchinggrandma.com Here you'll find more information.

Vitamin E Oil can also be found at Wal-Mart or drug stores usually in with the vitamins. Jojoba may be carried in many health food stores.

Your scents can be bought at specialty stores where supplies are sold for making homemade bath essentials.

Brown Sugar Body Scrub

In a mixing bowl combine one cup brown sugar, half a cup of honey, a few drops jojoba oil along with vitamin e oil. With clean hands mix this together for best results. Your consistency should be thick yet smooth. Place in a jar with lid and use when you're ready to try it consider as a define hand or back scrub for smooth, relaxed, silky skin which yields a golden glow. The fragrance from the brown sugar is absolutely yummy. Ask your significant other to scrub your back, but remember this is a strong scrub so go easy. Men may prefer this as a hand scruband women may want to keep this in the kitchen as a massage for hands as well. Always rinse well.

Note: I'm told a liquid soap base can be added to this body scrub. You can also make it with plain sugar. Add your own spin on it if you wish.

Safety Note: None of the above recipes are suitable for eating and both are meant for external use only followed by rinsing. Keep out of eyes.

Fun Note: Children of appropriate age under supervision may enjoy making these bath essentials with
mom or dad. Incorporate caution when allowing children to use bath essentials to make certain they
understand the safety precautions.

Also on the sugar scrub add mineral oil or baby oil.

I meant to add the obvious. Shake your salts well after you add all ingredients.
