Teenager Spring Break Activity 1
Check out local parks and the out doors activities they offers. Activities like canoeing or pool access are often a great price. Pack a picnic and make a day of it with your teenager.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 2
Teenagers love going to the movies, but frankly this is an expense that can quickly add up on your teenager's spring break staycation. Look for ways to make this cheaper. Suggest that your teenager go to the movies during the day when the price is cheaper.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 3
Another great way to make movies a cheaper, fun staycation activity for a spring break teenager is trying out a local drive in movie theater. The price is cheaper than going to a traditional theater and they will often allow you to stay for a second movie! To make it even cheaper bring along your own snacks.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 4
Since your spring break teenagers won't have to go to school how about hosting a sleep over? Make sure to have enough food and things to do. Teenagers will like music, movies, and games. Really though the best person who will know what they like are you teenagers. So, just follow their lead.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 5
Camping at a near by camping ground can be cheap and a lot of fun. Make sure the facility has plenty of activities for during the day and that you bring plenty of smores materials.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 6
Don't forget about your local theme parks. Since the economy is down a lot of the theme parks are having state resident specials.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 7
Check out the local larger arcades, like Gameworks, for token specials. They will often give a good price on food and tokens. This is a great place for teenagers to hang out on their spring break staycation.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 8
Have your teen check out smaller concert venues in your area to see if there are any bands that are going to be in town that aren't to expensive. This can be a fantastic memory for a teen who has never been to a live concert before. Since it's a smaller venue the ticket price will be much cheaper. Even if they don't tell you right away this is sure to be something memorable.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 9
Look for a volunteer experience that your teenager would enjoy. For example look for information about volunteering for an animal facility where they may get to help take care of exotic animals.
Teenager Spring Break Activity 10
Look at local science and art museums for any special exhibits that might catch your teenagers interest. Check to find out if they have a cheaper day during the week to save money.
