At the Well

"Your life is not so ordinary", He said. She bowed her head.

And looking at her feet, she wondered how she came to meet this stranger here

at the well.

"I just came to get some water," she said. He nodded his head.

She tried not to look into his eyes but there's way to disguise her longing,

here at the well.

How she longed for simple truth, like she had in her simple youth. Never being good enough had made her life so rough.

But, as she drew the water from the well that day, the words He spoke to her gave her the strength to stand and say, "My life's worth something, because of Jesus."

"Hear my words, you'll never thirst again," he said. She bowed her head

She'd been feeling quite defeated until she saw this stranger seated here

at the well.

"He knew all that I have ever done," she said. They shook their heads.

They all went out to meet him too, and she rejoiced, her life was made new

here at the well.

Oh, how she longed for simple truth like she had in her simple youth. Never being good enough had made her life so rough.

But as she drew the water from the well that day, the words he spoke to her gave her the strength to stand and say, "My life's worth something, because of Jesus."

And, He is Lord. Oh, He's my Jesus.

My precious Jesus, he made my life worth living.

He is my Lord
