Athens Area High School Class of 1984 Twenty Fifth Reunion Info

Athens High School, Athens, Pennsylvania class of 1984 will be holding the 25^th reunion this summer. Are you ready? Well the dates, times and places set for our 25th Reunion so mark your calendar now, so you can join the rest of us.

While class members may find it hard to believe, it really has been 25^th years since we donned our caps and gowns. While we maybe stretched out to the far corners of the world, it is time once more to gather.

On Saturday August 15, 2009, the graduates, spouses or significant others will be meeting at 'The Tank' for appetizers, good times, and reminiscing. Duke's DJ service will be playing these hits from 7 pm to 11pm. It is a cash bar with a keg purchase for $20 per person. Duke's DJ service will provide music.

The tank is where the old legion was on the corner of Route 34 & 17C in Waverly across from the bowling alley. The building has been fully refurbished and is a local hot spot on the weekends. Like all bars in New York State, there is no smoking in the bar, but smoking is permitted outside the building.

Perhaps we can have a classmate who would be willing to be the shadow dancer of the night. Plenty of seating available and there is a huge dance floor for your dancing pleasure.

Family Day is on Sunday August 16, 2009. There will be a Family Picnic held on beautiful Round Top, which is located in Athens Township. This picnic will be from 12pm- whenever but the park does close at dusk. The cost is only $5 per family and does include hot dogs, hamburgers, rolls, condiments, water, and soda. The pavilion rental fee comes out of the $5 dollar fee as well.

There is a softball field and plenty of playground equipment for recreational activities. So bring the kids and come see what our classmates have been doing and how they have changed since 1984. Do not miss the swinging benches, as the scenery of the valley is a wonderful view. You can see the beautiful towns Athens and Sayre Pennsylvania from high on round top, as well as Waverly New York from this viewing area.
