Woods did not lose the masters altogether, but ranked No 56 in the world, the only thing Johnson is known for winning is a PGA tour victory. Unshaken by Johnson's meager score card, fans are talking about the sleek look Johnson wore on his face after gaining the victory. Cold and fearless, Johnson looked as if he had no clue of his surroundings. He was not aware of the azaleas or the green grass. He had no idea of the intense pressure that weighs on inexperienced players in these competitions.
This week was the 10th anniversary of Wood's first Master's title which was the first of 12 significant victories. However, at about 5:42 pm on Sunday, Tiger missed a 12-foot birdie chance at 14. He then tossed a flipped the putter in the air as if it was a baton. Then is was Johnson's turn. Johnson eyed a 12 foot birdie putt on the par-3 16th and casually pumped his arm. Woods had just dumped a shot in the water, and he could not do better than a par at 15. Therefore, judges started looking for a 40 regular.
After the game, Tiger was disappointed and remarked that he felt that he blew it after he just had two good rounds on Thursday and Saturday. A disappointed Tiger Woods did not show up at the media center for a sit-down session. He made a single appearance at the pre-tournament on Tuesday. Fans were disappointed in the Tiger not only because he lost, but also because it's impolite not to have a sit down interview after losing to someone as little known as Zach from Iowa.
Sunday was the third time Woods lost a lead in a final round of a major, but it was the first time that he did not regain it. After Johnson was asked if he felt like a David who had beaten the giant, Goliath, Zachary remarked, "absolutely."

Post a CommentThe young man played very well in such tough conditions, however I am still in awe of Tiger. He shows all the time, no matter what game he finds himself with (A,B or C). People talk about the form one enters a tournament with but the Tiger can flat out play. He must be very disappointed knowing and feeling that unforced bogeys on 17 and 18 two days running undid all his previous hard work and ultimately cost him the tournament. He know it was a war of attrition. Kudos to Zack but Tiger for me is simply outstanding. He make putts on slick, breaking greens from all sorts of distances to save par, when so many others with tremendous talent, fail. While as you can see I am a fan of Tiger's game, my hat goes off to all the players who attempted to tame Augusta in those conditions. Well done!
You can't say Zach got lucky when he played 4 days uunder mserable conditions. He just beat Tiger and the rest of the field fare and square.
AN UNKNOWN WHO JUST GOT LUCKY....
